Shopify PDP Checklist
A practical checklist for clearer Shopify product pages.
This checklist is useful before a redesign or PDP audit. It focuses on the structural parts of a Shopify product page that affect understanding, trust, and buying momentum.
Above the fold
- Can users understand what the product is within a few seconds?
- Is the main product benefit visible before scrolling?
- Are price, variants, and CTA grouped clearly?
- Do the first images support understanding instead of just decoration?
Decision support
- Are ingredients, specs, dimensions, or fit questions answered early enough?
- Can users compare options without extra effort?
- Is bundle or subscription logic clear instead of noisy?
- Does the page reduce uncertainty in the order users actually experience it?
Trust and reassurance
- Do reviews appear near hesitation points?
- Are guarantee, shipping, and return details easy to find?
- Is there enough proof for a skeptical buyer?
- Do trust elements support the product instead of competing with it?
Mobile UX
- Does the page scan cleanly on a small screen?
- Are the first 3 to 5 sections in a useful order?
- Is the CTA easy to re-find after users scroll?
- Do long modules feel purposeful or just stacked?
How to use the checklist
The checklist is for finding friction, not decorating the page.
If several answers are unclear or negative, the issue is usually structural. That is the point where a focused PDP optimization pass or full product-page redesign becomes worth doing.
